About Me

Welcome! I’m Heather Blust Edlund, an education consultant dedicated to empowering school districts with tailored supports and solutions. With over two decades of experience in the Bellevue School District, I have held various leadership roles, including Executive Director of Student and Staff Engagement, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, and Executive Director of Special Education.

Currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education and a Superintendent Credential at Washington State University, I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth. My educational journey also includes a Master’s in Educational Leadership and an Administrative Certification from the University of Washington, where I also earned my Teacher Certification and Bachelor of Arts.

As a National Board Certified Teacher and a former elementary school principal, I have a deep understanding of the complexities of modern education. My leadership philosophy is centered on fostering student and staff engagement, strategic planning, and data-driven instruction. I have been an integral part of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and various leadership teams, focusing on standards-based instruction, budget development, and early and extended learning programs.
